The Cross Inn, RestaurantThe Cross Inn, Fine Dining
Situated in Paxton, just 5 miles from Berwick upon Tweed, The Cross Inn offers the perfect opportunity for visitors to Berwick, the Borders and Northumberland to indulge in some excellent food, complemented with some fine refreshments. Owner and Chef of The Cross Inn, Michael, takes a personal pride in making the most of local ingredients to produce some of the best dishes available.
An equal commitment to the level of service in a casual and relaxing environment has led The Cross Inn restaurant being a familiar stop for residents and visitors to the area. Enjoy a meal, a drink in the bar or make the most of the good weather in our beer garden at The Cross Inn, Paxton.
The dishes on the menu in The Cross Inn reflect the quality of fresh ingredients we use. Every attempt is made to source the best fresh produce locally, to create meals which make the most of the high standard of the ingredients used.
Meat dishes made with fresh meat supplied from local farms are always popular and typify the classic country inn dining experience. Fish and seafood dishes are created from the fish caught from nearby Eyemouth, and mussels picked from the Holy Island.
In addition to wholesome classic dishes at the Cross Inn we also serve a variety of world foods to satisfy any customer from baguettes to freshly caught wild salmon. We often offer a fresh pie of the day and you can enjoy the perennial Scottish favourite of haggis, neeps and tatties.
We feel the food is important at the Cross Inn. We have a wine list to match and a wide selection of beers and ales. With recent recognition from the Good Beer Guide and the Good Pub Food Guide we feel we have the balance.
